My Weight Loss Journey: How I, Sarah, Tackle the Struggle Without Giving Up My Love for Food

My name is Sarah McDowell and I started this website to share my health journey as well as my passion for food.

I went from 209 pounds down to 149 pounds and I intend to share it with the world to inspire other women (and men) to never give up!

I became a low energy, flabby and somewhat of a downer because I was always feeling depressed and hopeless. It seemed that everything I tried would eventually fail. Now I am slim, healthy, energetic and full of life!

I grew up in the countryside, Michigan to be exact, and my family always gathered together for mealtimes. We would cook together and my grandparents’ vegetable patch was the pride and joy of my grandmother.

In my opinion, we should rethink our somewhat problematic relationship with food. At its best, it brings people together and nourishes our bodies. It shouldn’t be our enemy.
